Amin-o-Iman
Amin-o-Iman is a group/community of people from Muslim and Christian beliefs, who meet together build bridges and re-establish the trust which has been lost because of the 7/7 bombing in London and Buckinghamshire.
The group meets to discuss different issues, questions and misunderstandings to make known THE RIGHT WAY and to discover the TRUTH through the SCRIPTURES. Mutual respect of religious beliefs, practices and culture and listening to each other are central to our discussions.
The group aims to find ways to understand each other better in order to develop long term friendships and inter-personal relationships among Muslims and Christians. We help the friends who have found the TRUTH to grow in their understanding and Inquiry. We try to check out the claim of Jesus, where he said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life’ (John 14:6).
∗Fellowship of Believers (FOB)
The Fellowship of Believers (FOB) is a group of MBBs who have found the Truth in Jesus Christ and they have accepted the claim of Jesus. We try to put into practice the biblical teaching: “Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another” (Heb.10: 25).
The group enables MBBs to resolve their social, cultural, and theological issues in order to strengthen their faith and walk with Jesus. It also reaches out to relatives, friends and seekers of MBBs by using the Gospel and testimonies.
The fellowship of believers is a network of MBBs from 26 nationalities who are residing in Britain for the decades. This group has been in existence since March 1999. The MBBs come from different Christian doctrinal and denominational backgrounds. The main attraction is the Muslim background which brings them together. They share the similar problems and issues whether they have a local church or no church background.
The FOB is acting as a “Midwife” for those MBBs who have a local church (western or non-western style) but for those who do not a local church, it is an opportunity for them to belong to a group of believers where they can find a sensitive atmosphere to their Muslim cultural background. Many of them start believing in Jesus Christ and embracing him as their Lord and saviour in a due course of time.
